The Fiio M15S is a full-featured audiophile player designed to play files stored on a micro SD card, played over the network or from online music services like Qobuz, Tidal, Amazon Music or Spotify. The Fiio M15S is the successor to the acclaimed FiiO M15, to which it brings a new processor, more powerful amplification and an 8-channel ES9038Pro DAC that plays PCM tracks up to 32 bits and natively decodes DSD files. Designed to offer high quality playback with wired and Bluetooth headphones, it incorporates an LDAC, AptX HD and AptX compatible transmitter and receiver.

Developed with audiophiles in mind, the Fiio M15S is much more than a simple update of the original M15. Completely redesigned from scratch, it perfects all aspects thanks to innovative solutions, some of which were introduced with the prestigious FiiO M17. It features the ES9038Pro 8-channel DAC. This chip is selected for its excellent performance, especially for its ability to provide a very low distortion and noise level.

The ESS DAC in the Fiio M15S combines with an FGPA controller and two master clocks to efficiently time the data transfer and maximize conversion accuracy. As a result, the Fiio M15S HD Walkman is capable of optimal playback and conversion of most audio formats, including FLAC, WAV, WMA, AIFF, APE, MP3, and more. It can read these files up to 32 bits / 768 kHz for PCM streams. The Fiio M15S player is also able to play DSD files up to DSD 512 (DSD 22.1 MHz). For Tidal subscribers, the MQA format is supported.

To host these large files, the Fiio M15S audiophile player has 64 GB of internal memory. It is possible to extend this storage memory with a micro SD card with a maximum capacity of 2 TB. Enough to easily host your entire discography. Access to shared tracks on the local network is also possible.

Very versatile, the Fiio M15S audiophile player integrates an amplification section providing two balanced outputs, one of 2.5 mm and the other of 4.4 mm. An unbalanced 3.5 mm mini-jack output is also available. It is capable of developing up to 1200 mW of power, which makes it possible to fully exploit the great majority of the earphones and headphones of the market. A multi-level gain control allows you to adjust the power output according to the specifications of your headphones. Finally, a coaxial line output is also available to use a hi-fi amplifier or an external DAC for example.

The Fiio M15S is powered by a new Snapdragon 660SoC processor, which is more powerful than ever to ensure smooth and fast navigation through the various applications of the Android 10 operating system, and is specifically optimized for direct transmission of audio streams to the DAC without any digital modification. Thanks to the integration of the Google Play Store, the Fiio M15S can install many applications, including those of streaming services such as Qobuz, Tidal, Apple Music, Spotify or Deezer, for example.

In addition to WiFi, the Fiio M15S audiophile player also benefits from Qualcomm's QCC5124 Bluetooth controller to facilitate music streaming to headphones or a pair of wireless headphones. This controller supports Bluetooth aptX, aptX HD and LDAC codecs to optimize the transmission rate with compatible sources. The Fiio M15S is certified Hi-Res Audio Wireless, which guarantees a very high precision listening. Of course, SBC and AAC codecs are also included to ensure a perfect match with any headphones or earphones.

Conveniently, the Bluetooth controller of the Fiio M15S is bi-directional, which also allows you to wirelessly stream all your music to this FiiO player from a smartphone, tablet or computer.

The power supply of the Fiio M15S is fully isolated and independent from other components to avoid any interference or disturbance. It provides a clean, stable current with a high reserve to ensure dynamic listening. With a capacity of 6,300 mAh, the battery offers up to 10.5 hours of listening, allowing you to enjoy music all day long. The recharge of this battery is then done very easily thanks to its USB type C port. Practical, this USB port is reversible, allowing the use of the Fiio M15S as a USB DAC with a computer.
