The Dali Oberon 7 floorstanding speaker is a 2-way model designed for both music and home theater. It is part of the Oberon series, which replaces the famous Dali Oberon range, from which it inherits proven technologies, but stands out for the integration of a superior-quality tweeter.
The Dali Oberon 7 loudspeaker is part of a range that also includes compact, central and even wall-mounted loudspeakers, with the Dali Oberon On Wall model (ideal for surround or Dolby Atmos vertical channels). The result is an elegant home-cinema ensemble with detailed, dynamic sound. The build quality of the Dali Oberon 7 is in keeping with the Danish brand's usual productions, despite its aggressive price positioning.
The cabinetry is thick, with internal bracing to prevent parasitic vibrations, and the powerfully motorized drivers with ventilated coils can handle high power levels. The loudspeakers' passive crossovers have been carefully designed for balanced impedance and linear frequency response. As a result, the amplifier doesn't struggle to deliver power, and listening is seamless.
The Dali Oberon 7 floor-standing speaker features two 17 cm-diameter bass-midrange drivers with wood-fiber cones, immersed in a volume of bass-reflex tuned air. The 29 mm soft-dome tweeter produces a fine, detailed treble, far beyond what the ear can hear, in order to correctly reproduce the harmonic frequencies necessary for good sound reproduction. This transducer, a true hallmark of Danish production, is at ease in the reproduction of complex music, thanks to its great liveliness. The Dali Oberon 7 produces a full-bodied, realistic sound, with excellent reproduction of low frequencies down to 36 Hz: a strong point for use in home cinema, even without a subwoofer.
